" Having hit a milestone birthday - the big 3-0 - I felt I needed a little "refresher". I had never had any cosmetic treatment done before so I was nervous. Sculptra appealed to me mainly cause it was gradual and natural. I liked the idea of 3 sessions because I figured it would give myself and the physician control over the process. I wanted to look good but not appear "done".
Well, my final outcome is better than I imagined. I knew I lost some volume but did not imagine what an amazing difference to my overall face it made by lifting and filling, yet all very subtle. My family and friends keep telling me how great I look. They go on and on about it, yet no one has figured it out. I will keep the mystery going a bit longer but eventually I will let them in on my little secret. I love my new look and want to recommend it to everyone. "

" Sculptra may be defined as a product for "facial volume loss" but it is so much more than that! I'm a 30 yr old, mother of two, ethnic minority from a Caribbean background - not your typical injectable patient - that has had 2 injection sessions of Sculptra. Because of my age and the lack of overall volume loss, I didn't require a lot of product for volumizing.
However, the little product that I had injected in my chin and mainly cheeks, has made a subtle, but welcomed change in my look and the texture of my skin. Most of my friends have commented as to how great I look - refreshed is commonly used - and I tell them that I'm proactively maintaining my collagen!
With regards to the actual procedure, I had never been injected before but didn't find the it at all painful - everyone's pain threshold will be different. I was able to carry a conversation with my physician as she was injecting and didn't require additional freezing. I will have to admit, though, the next day my face felt sore to the touch but because massaging is key with this product, I worked through it.
Knowing that my results will last for 2 years has me excited, and I look forward to a Sculptra maintenance program as the years pass! "
